DESCRIPTIONS:
Municipal Solid waste is a very good source for either waste to energy or for making organic manure. Segregated municipal solid waste into Bio-Degradable/Non-Biodegradable, therefore becomes a rich source of material in the form of plastics, paper, etc, which are high grade refuse derived fuel with substantial calorific value, thus can be used in Boilers for generating energy. This can substantially assist in achieving carbon neutrality, especially considering the quantum of municipal waste that is getting generated. And on the other hand segregated biodegradable organic waste shall become rich source of organic manure. Municipal solid waste during collection, handling, transportation can also get impregnated with Bio-Medical Waste, & other hazardous waste generated not only in Industries, but also otherwise. Therefore, it becomes imperative to analyse municipal solid waste before any useful end-use for hazardous nature, if any, or for other purposes in terms of Calorific value, nutrients, etc.
